Use the titlesec
package (http://tug.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/titlesec/titlesec.pdf)
This should do the job :
usepackage{titlesec}
titleformat{chapter}[block]{filright}{Chapter thechapter}
it doesn't work ERROR: Paragraph ended before ttl@format@ii was complete.
